My Approach
I am a down-to-earth and warm, yet direct, therapist who strives to make you feel heard, seen, and validated for your experience. I guide clients to an understanding as to why behaviors or patterns might be occurring as I believe it is important to know why they are occurring in order to prevent them from continuing or resurfacing. After providing empathy and understanding, I then begin to challenge clients to implement learned skills and techniques to reach their goals. I want to provide you with more than just quick fixes. I want to provide you with lasting changes.
This is why I believe exploring and understanding the context in which a client lives is imperative as this will guide what treatment, skills, and techniques will work for their particular family, environment, or situation.
My Passions
I find such joy working with couples and children. Being able to help a child learn ways to express themselves, seeing a family provide support and connection in a difficult situation, and guiding a couple to integrate their lives while respecting their individuality is incredible to witness.
